Ron White understands and appreciates trial lawyers. After nearly twenty-five years of litigation involving hundreds of millions of dollars in judgments and settlements, Ron has walked where trial lawyers walk: he has fought the same fights, lived in the same pressure cooker, and has celebrated victories and suffered losses in bench trials, jury trials, and arbitrations. He has been on both sides of drawn-out discovery battles; won and lost cases during law and motion practice; seen his trials gilded and gutted as a result of motions in limine; and has sweated out the appellate process that sometimes lasts several years. While his seasoned perspective as a litigator provides the foundation of his mediation practice, Ron's purpose as a mediator is to help trial lawyers serve their clients as trusted counselors at law, men and women who not only aggressively represent their clients, but also advise them of the realities and risks of trial. Ron works collaboratively with lawyers and their clients during mediation, but at times facilitates negotiations through evaluative leadership, helping the parties to explore whether or not there is a better way to resolve their dispute than allowing a judge or twelve jurors decide who is right and who is wrong. In mediation, it is not about one side winning and the other side losing; it is about resolving a dispute. Ron believes the parties, not a judge or a jury, are in the best position to do that.

Discourage litigation. Persuade your neighbors to                    compromise whenever you can. As a peacemaker the                    lawyer has superior opportunity of being a good man.                    There will still be business enough.
